Crop production under changing environment
Crops production under changing environment

As sessile organisms, plants must regulate their growth and development in order to avoid or cope with numerous external stimuli. Global climate change toward greater aridity and the ever-increased population pose a research challenge to enhance crop productivity. The development of crop-plants with enhanced tolerance to environmental stress, high yields, and improved water use efficiency is of paramount importance for agriculture and will contribute to mitigating the severe losses brought about by environmental stress.
