Welcome to Peleg Lab

About Peleg Lab

Research in Peleg's lab focuses on understanding crop-plants adaptions to changing environment. We use various genetic resources such as wild progenitors of wheat, old landraces and advance cultivars, introgression lines and various segregating populations. Our goal is to bridge the gap between genotypes and phenotypes and discover novel genes and traits that will facilitate future breeding programs.  We develop novel pre-breeding material with adapted genetic backgrounds to improved wheat yield production under the Mediterranean semi-arid climatic conditions.
